Kimberly - this lighthouse has a small canal nearby and a footbridge crossing over. What you see in the foreground is the lower portion of the footbridge.
I had seen a poster in the lighthouse gift shop taken from this same spot, so I sought out the location to shoot it myself. Admittedly, my version didn't turn out nearly as well as the poster, due to having used a fairly cheap digital camera at the time. But I still enjoyed the shot.
