This is a PT-22 with the Kinner R5 motor, not a PT-23 with the Continental R-670-11, 220 HP. The landing gear is also different. Nice restoration - though.

In 1950, Rapid City SD, I Purchased a PT-23 with a sliding canopy. After repairing hail damage to the plywood wings I flew the plane for 50 hours and traded plus money for a BT-13. I'm completing a book and looking for a picture (with permission to use)of a PT-23 with a canopy. Any help would be appreciated. Harry

Sorry, big mistake: this is a Ryan PT-22 Recruit that uses a Kinner R-540, of 160 hp.
